D&D Fantasy Art Workshop – 4 week course

In this four week drawing series, inspired by the art of Dungeons & Dragons, participants will level up their illustration skills through depicting characters, monsters and magical treasures.

Participants will create an 8-page sketchbook, using graphite, ink pen, and coloured pencil filled with character sketches, inspirations, and creative ideas. Throughout the sessions, they will receive mentoring and constructive feedback to develop their drawing skills. Participants will be provided with a variety of sources to draw inspiration from, including museum references, film screenshots, and existing concept art.

Week 1: Making an adventure book and drawing a character by dice
Week 2: Skeletons and home-made paper miniatures
Week 3: Monster Making
Week 4: Gear, Garb and Magical items

This is a 4 week course starts on Wednesday 22 October and continues Wednesday 29 October, 5 November and 12 November

Cost: $60 plus booking fee for 4 weeks.

• Participants must be 13+ or have started high school.
• Each session is 2 hours
• Please bring a snack and water bottle

Children under the age of 15 must be signed in and out by an adult.

About the presenter
Tallulah Cunningham has created illustrations for numerous Role Play Game publications – living proof that drawing dragons can be a part of a career path. She has had academic training (a PhD in illustration) that involves critical thinking about media and purposes of narrative, and can point out numerous places in arts process where chemistry, physics, mathematics, English and other core education staples are vital aids to the arts and imagination.

Windale Hub has a rear car park accessible from Shade Lane. There is 1 accessible car park with a ramp leading to the building. The building also has an internal ramp. There is a second entry to the library on Lake Street with 2-hour parking available. The library has accessible toilet, and all meeting rooms have a hearing loop.
