Scams are everywhere these days – emails, text messages, social media posts, even fake websites. But how do you know what’s real and what’s a scam? This Get Online Week, you’ll find out the fun way!
On Wednesday 22 October, 12–2 pm, The Place Charlestown will transform into an interactive Cyber Escape Room Challenge: “Fake or Fact – Escape the Scam!”
This isn’t your average workshop. Instead of sitting and listening, you’ll step into the role of a cyber detective. With your team, you’ll rotate through hands-on activity stations where you’ll uncover the tricks scammers use online.
At each station, you’ll collect clues to unlock the final code. Put all the clues together, race to solve the code, and ring the bell to claim victory. The first team to solve the challenge wins a prize, but every player walks away with a smile.
This escape room makes cyber safety practical, easy to remember, and perfect for anyone who wants to feel more confident online. You don’t need to come with a team – individuals are welcome, and we’ll match you up on the day.
There will also be a light lunch, so you can relax and connect with others after the challenge.
Limited spots – only 30 participants, so bookings are essential.
