🌊❄️ Team Academy Swimming presents: The Iceberg Series! ❄️🌊
Ready to race, learn, and have fun, fun, FUN? Join us for our Iceberg Series – a special club racing night designed to introduce swimmers to the excitement of racing in a relaxed, supportive, and educational environment.
Perfect for new and developing swimmers, this series is all about learning the ropes of racing just like at school carnivals—without the pressure! We'll cover everything from how to line up behind the blocks, how the starting buzzer works, listening for the whistle, and the basics of diving and turns. It’s racing against yourself, not others—so no stress, just smiles!
🏊♂️ Event Format Includes:
25m and 50m races of each stroke (in IM order)
Fun relays including kickboard relays and possibly an IM kick relay
Optional dive and turn clinic on the side for swimmers still building confidence
Throughout the night, our awesome coaches will be poolside helping swimmers correct their starts, streamline their dives, and track their times. Swimmers are encouraged to bring their notebooks to jot down results and personal bests.
🔥 Food Available:
Sausage on bread – $2.50
All funds raised go straight back into supporting our club and swimmers.
Come for the racing, stay for the laughs, and leave with a better understanding of how swim carnivals work—plus a tasty sausage in hand!
