Full-Day STEAM Adventure: Mad Science & the Arts
Ages: 8-14
Cost: $255 / $230 for members of either Wilson Arts or Imagination Station
Wilson Arts is thrilled to partner with Imagination Station to offer an exciting full-day summer camp experience that blends science and the arts with these STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) options! This collaborative option is perfect for kids who enjoy variety in their day and a change of environment.
Morning Session: Mad Science at Imagination Station
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Get ready for a week of Mad Science! Campers will explore the many branches of science through hands-on experiments, from launching rockets to creating elephant toothpaste and even meeting live museum animals. Every day brings a new, exciting scientific adventure.
Lunch Break: 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
At noon, staff will escort students to Wilson Arts Center for Lunch Bunch. Students must bring their own lunch and drink.
Afternoon Session: Imagine It. Sculpt It. at Wilson Arts Center
Time: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Instructor: Ash Hayford
In the afternoon, campers will embark on a 3-D creative journey exploring different sculpting techniques. Using materials like air clay, papier-mâché, and recycled objects, students will bring their imaginative ideas to life. If you can imagine it, you can build it.
This exciting full-day camp offers the perfect blend of science and creativity, providing variety, hands-on learning, and a change of environment—all within a short walk between Wilson Arts and Imagination Station.
