Picnic in the Park

Wilmington Works is rolling out the picnic blankets and inviting the community to gather for a charming summer evening!

We encourage you to bring your own picnic baskets or pick up a delicious meal from one of our many downtown restaurants. Picnic blankets will be set up on Memorial Hall lawn for a relaxed evening of good food, good company, and summer fun.

While you picnic, enjoy refreshing lemonade at our lemonade stand, a “Beary Fun” storytime at Bartleby's Bookstore at 5:15 PM – kids are encouraged to bring their favorite teddy bear for the adventure. Pettee Memorial Library lawn will have a pinwheel making craft, and Buzzy Towne Park will have lawn games.

For fans of vintage style, antique car owners are invited to drive into downtown and park along Main Street, adding nostalgic charm!
