Teen Self-Defense Workshop at Willow Yoga
In this special two-hour workshop just for teens, we’ll explore what self-defense really means — from standing up for yourself at school, to handling peer pressure or awkward social situations, to feeling safe in public spaces.
We’ll talk about the importance of awareness, trusting your instincts, and how to stay calm under pressure. You’ll learn both verbal and non-verbal strategies you can use in everyday life — whether you're navigating tough conversations or setting boundaries with confidence.
You’ll also learn and practice basic self-defense techniques like palm strikes, elbows, knees, and low kicks — all in a safe, supportive, and empowering environment. No experience needed — just come as you are.
This workshop is especially helpful for teens preparing for more independence — whether it’s heading off to college, starting a new job, or spending more time on their own. Our goal is to help you leave feeling stronger, more confident, and more prepared.

For participants under 18, a parent or guardian is encouraged to attend, but not required if a waiver is signed in advance.
