It's like speed dating, except without any shenanigans 🤨
Meeting new people can be challenging, especially as an adult. Whether you're new to the area, have unconventional work hours, or find that everyone you meet has their own social circle, it can be tough. That's why we've created this speed friending event—an effortless way to casually meet with others in the Willmar area. It's free, pressure-free, open to all adults 18 and over, and no contact information is shared (unless you and your new friend choose to exchange it). The more connections you make around town, the more it will feel like home—believe us!
🍸And if you need to, have some great brews or mocktails to cut the edge off.
Here's how it works:
6:30-7:15 PM- Sign up at the bar to be included in speed friending and get your name tag anytime during this hour.
7:15 PM- You'll be given a starting place to either sit or rotate from. We’ll have a host with conversation prompts.
7:15 PM- 8:15 PM - You'll talk to whomever you're sitting with for exactly five minutes, until we say it’s time, repeating until you've chatted with everyone at speed friending or until it's 8:15 PM. We will throw in a few games just to break it up!
8:15 PM- Stay and chat if you'd like with all your new friends or indulge in some Open play Mario Kart until close at 9:30 PM
