Ohio River Kayak Tour -- Buckley Island

Paddle the backchannel waters at Buckley Island while learning about the area’s resources! Kayaking offers a unique opportunity to appreciate the river’s serenity, as well as the refuge’s birds and other wildlife! You may bring your own watercraft, or we have a limited number of kayaks, paddles, and life jackets to provide on a first come, first served basis. (We have eight single occupancy kayaks and two tandem kayaks for adult and child). Children must be accompanied by an adult. Secure footwear is required. Hat, sunscreen, and drinking water are recommended. May be cancelled in high winds or inclement weather. Meet at the fishing access parking area located just upriver from the Visitor Center.
