Your Whole Life Story: In Conversation w/Memoirists Jean Grae & Andy Corren

The Otto Bookstore is thrilled to host two very funny very special authors for an evening of conversation led by Emily Flake. There will be food, beverages, laughter and there will be BOOKS for you to buy and get signed!

Jean Grae is a multidisciplinary artist, humorist, and former rapper with over 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry. She’s collaborated with influential musicians including The Roots, and Robert Glasper and her prolific body of work is featured at the National Museum of African American History and Culture. In 2019, the Public Theater commissioned her one-person show, Jeanius, which played for a limited time to sold-out audiences in New York City. She currently resides in Baltimore with her shared-custody cat, Littles. In My Remaining Years is her first book.

Andy Corren was born and raised on the wrong side of Fayetteville, North Carolina. He barely graduated Westover, got fired from every job in show business, and has no MFA. Andy and his son Hudson D. Dog live in Greene County, NY and Harlem, USA.

Emily Flake is a cartoonist, writer, comic, illustrator, and teacher.. Her work appears regularly in The New Yorker, McSweeney’s and many other publications. Her most recent book is Joke in a Box: How to Write and Draw Jokes. . She makes her home in Brooklyn but is the founder and proprietor of St. Nell’s, a residency program for women and non-binary creators working in any creative discipline, based in here in Williamsport. She bakes a mean pie.
