Tower site work day

Let John - KB3AWQ/WQGU515 know if you're coming and what you can bring. John's email is ZnBjYXB0YWluIHwgeWFob28gISBjb20= or his cell phone/text is 570-279-0244. We will meet at the gate on Route 554 at Skyline Drive at 9 AM. The site is about 2.5 miles from the gate.

Here is the list of things that I know of but some of it can be done at another time before or after the 21st depending on availability.

*Cut the grass - one mower is good

*Guy wires for tower - these need tightened I have been told, if anyone has experience doing this.

*W**d Wacker - normally two or three gas powered ones are good for this. To get around the rocks and the right side of the building and behind the building.

*Check repeater batteries - distilled water is on site

*Check the building over and clean up as needed

*This would be a good time to check the repeaters with a service monitor also to be sure they are on frequency and power output etc.

*We have a 120 watt amplifier available for 147.090 that we have talked about adding to help in some of the weaker areas. This should be able to be done on this day as well. KB3AWQ has some fans for it.

*Looking for a tower climber or if someone has a bucket truck or lift to go up 50 ft. Hardline on windmill tower at the top has come unattached and is moving in the wind (not a good thing) also on the tower have some coax that needs two connectors redone.
