The area's rich and tumultuous past includes the infamous Battle of Matewan, the legendary Hatfield and McCoy Feud, and the numerous lives lost in the coal mines. These incidents have left an indelible mark on the region, contributing to its haunted reputation. Adding to the mystery, there have also been cryptid sightings reported in the vicinity.
The Old Hospital on College Hill is notorious for its paranormal activity. Those who have dared to explore its corridors report the following experiences:
