Ruth’s Place 17th Annual Walk for Hope

VOAPA is hosting the 17th Annual Walk for Hope, our largest fundraising event to support Ruth’s Place, the only 24/7 emergency shelter serving women in Luzerne County!

Due to inclement weather, we invite you to join us for a rescheduled Walk for Hope on Friday, June 13th, 2025, at 12:00 pm on Public Square for a “Lunch and Walk”, where we will take the Walk for Hope together and rejoin on Public Square to enjoy a resource fair and the food trucks. During the Walk for Hope, each participant walks a familiar route of those women who are experiencing homelessness in our community and empathizes with the challenges they face when seeking help and regaining housing, independence, and hope.
