Die Kunsthalle Wien präsentiert eine großangelegte neue Einzelausstellung von Ibrahim Mahama (geb. 1987 in Tamale, Ghana). Die Ausstellung, die im ersten Obergeschoß des Standorts im MuseumsQuartier gezeigt wird, versammelt eine völlig neue Gruppe von Auftragsarbeiten, darunter Skulpturen, Fotografien und Videos. Mahama bezieht sich auf das materielle Erbe von Kolonialismus, Postkolonialismus und Industrialisierung in Ghana. Die Ausstellung ist Ibrahim Mahamas erste Einzelausstellung in Österreich.

A major new exhibition by Ibrahim Mahama (b. 1987, Tamale, Ghana) is installed across the first floor of the Kunsthalle’s Museumsquartier building. The exhibition presents an entirely new body of commissioned work including installation, photography and video for which Mahama draws upon the material legacy of colonialism, post-colonialism and industrialisation in Ghana. It is Mahama’s first solo exhibition in Austria.
