Wichita Park & Recreation invites the community to celebrate the grand opening of the newly renovated L.W. Clapp Memorial Park. A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 11:00 a.m. near the new playground located at 4611 E. Harry St.

This exciting event marks the official opening of several key park enhancements, including the City’s first inclusive playground, a new dog park, a vibrant public art sculpture, and upgraded walking trails. These additions were designed with inclusivity, accessibility, and community wellness in mind, creating a welcoming space for individuals and families of all abilities.

Please note: while the ribbon cutting will be held near the playground, the dog park is located on the opposite side of the park at 1950 S. Bluff St. Dog lovers and their furry companions are encouraged to visit and explore this new amenity following the ceremony.
