Class Description:
Step into the stillness of nature and reconnect with your roots in this soul-nourishing yoga class set in the rustic beauty of The Healing Path Farm. Barefoot at the Farm is a grounding experience that blends gentle, flowing movement with breathwork, meditation, and connection to the earth.
Led by AWOL Wellness Project’s trauma-informed instructor team, this class is a chance to slow down, let go, and come home to yourself. Inspired by the farm’s healing energy and AWOL’s "a way of life" ethos, this class is more than yoga—it’s a practice in presence, simplicity, and soul care.
Flow of the Class:
1. Arrival:
• Optional herbal tea or grounding oil offered on arrival
• Barefoot grounding on the wooden barn floor or surrounding grass
2. Earth-Centered Meditation:
• Seated or lying meditation focused on connecting breath to the rhythms of nature
3. Gentle Flow:
• Slow, intuitive movements to open hips, heart, and spine
• Sun salutations adapted for softness and presence
• Emphasis on barefoot connection, balance, and embodiment
4. Restorative + Integration:
• Supported postures using blankets and bolsters
• Optional hands-on assists with consent
5. Closing Circle (70–75 min):
• Group breath
• Journaling prompt or reflection share
• Reminder: “Take the Farm with you” – a metaphor for grounded peace
