Grow Appalachia meetings will occur each month at 5:30pm Feb-October 2025, at the Scott Christian Care Center in Oneida, TN. The address is 101 Marcum Rd, Oneida, TN 37841.
Applications are available through the Scott Christian Care Center. This is a wonderful program that goes across 5 states. The goal is to address food insecurity issues by growing as much fresh food as possible and teaching a new generation how to develop their own food. The program provides technical assistance to support both family and community gardens including:
gardening classes
plants
seeds
hand tools
organic fertilizer and pesticides
You can pick up an application up at the Scott Christian Care Center, UT Extension Office or UK-McCreary County Extension Office.
