Get ready for a fun-filled day celebrating Whitehaven’s rich trading history and, of course, our love of Rum Butter! Join us on Saturday 13th September, 10am–5pm at Castle Park, Whitehaven for Whitehaven’s very first Rum Butter Festival.
Take part in Rum Butter baking competitions with prizes for Best Rum Butter and Best Rum Butter Bake, enjoy live shanty music, community singing, and a cooking demo with Chef Jon Fell. There’ll also be pirate-themed fun all day, including games, a treasure hunt with prizes, stories from local author Helen Sharpe, and a prize for the best pirate costume!
Over 20 local traders will be on site, offering delicious food, drinks, and handmade treats – come hungry and ready to shop!
Competition entries: Drop off your bakes between 11am–2pm in the main tent (one entry per person per competition). No pre-registration required.
