Step aboard Everyone Here’s Spark Bus at this year’s Harbour Fest.

Handpicked Productions brings the acclaimed Sekers Objects exhibition to Whitehaven’s Harbour Fest – this time aboard Everyone Here’s Spark Bus.

Showcasing artefacts from February’s exhibition, the display celebrates the rich heritage of the Sekers fabric factory: a cornerstone of West Cumbrian industry and international couture. Discover stories, objects and the creative spirit that made Sekers a name known far beyond Cumbria.

At the Couture Activity Station, artists Janice and Helen recreate the atmosphere of the original exhibition’s striking staircase installation. Surrounded by couture imagery, visitors can design their own high-fashion outfit using templates and real fabric swatches. Sketch, collage or simply explore – this hands-on activity celebrates creativity and our textile legacy.
