Back by popular demand, this special pop-in event offers a unique chance to explore the rich history of Whitehaven – from its bustling pubs to the mining industry, education, and Marchon.
The original Pop Inn – Pubs Pop-Up returns in a slightly condensed form, now expanded with images chosen by our dedicated volunteers to showcase everyday life, work, and learning in the town.
Visitors can enjoy photographs, displays, and memories that bring Whitehaven’s story to life, while sharing their own recollections over a friendly cup of tea or coffee.
Whether you’re revisiting fond memories or discovering this side of Whitehaven for the first time, the Pubs, Pits & People Pop-Up promises a warm welcome and a rewarding day out.
