Cumberlandia Banner Making Workshop

Come join our Free Textile Workshop!

June 14th and 15th, 12-3pm, Florence Arts Centre

Join Arwen from Cold Keld to add the finishing touches to the Cumberlandia Banner! New for this year's festival will be a hand-made eco-banner of our striking tree logo, made entirely from reclaimed fabrics and unspun fleece, all plant-dyed and printed by hand.

The workshop works in two parts:

- there are 6 bookable places available on each day for people with textiles skills to add details to the tree and background with needle-felting and hand-stitching.

- or drop-in during the workshop (no booking required) to make some hammer-printed leaves for the tree. You don't need any previous experience for this, and it is suitable for families.

Materials for hammer-printing and basic sewing are provided, but please bring any specialist tools (i.e. felting needles) you might want to use for the booked places.
