Merie Productions, in collaboration with The Whitefish Theatre Company, is thrilled to present The Music of MOTOWN: A Tribute Concert as part of its Summer Concert Series. Featuring powerhouse vocals, rich harmonies, and the unmistakable Motown groove, this high-energy tribute concert plays for one weekend only on August 15th, 16th & 17th at 8:00pm at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish.
From the bustling streets of Detroit to the top of the Billboard charts, Motown music shaped not only a generation but the cultural fabric of America. This unforgettable concert event pays homage to the iconic songs and legendary artists who gave us the soundtrack of love, resistance, and unity. Featuring hits from The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, and more, this show brings to life the voices and rhythms that continue to inspire audiences around the world.
Motown wasn’t just a sound—it was a movement. It broke barriers, built bridges, and told stories that transcended race, geography, and time. With stunning lead vocals by Alfred Jackson, Sha'Leah Jackson, and Amber Wright, and backed by a stellar band including Dustin Brayley (keys/vocals), Mark McCrady (guitar/vocals), Matt Seymour (bass), Toby Ferguson (drums), Eric Holdhusen (trumpet), and guest artist Sonya Jason on saxophone and reeds, The Music of MOTOWN delivers the soul, the swagger, and the spirit that made Motown a global sensation. As producer Meredith Patterson of Merie Productions shares, "this show is more than entertainment. It’s a tribute to artists who were change-makers, dreamers, and icons of resilience." Come experience the music that turned struggle into song and dance floors into movements.
