Winter-inspired creativity to calm the mind and warm the heart.
Join The Mindfulness Movement at Lincoln Elementary School for a special winter session of Make & Take: Calming Creations, an after-school enrichment series that blends mindful art with seasonal sensory play. Designed for students in grades 1–5, each session offers a hands-on project that encourages creativity, emotional regulation, and joyful self-expression.
Students will make and take home a unique winter-themed creation each week:
❄️ Week 1: Falling Snow Sensory Bottles
Capture the beauty of snowfall in a swirling, sparkly calming bottle.
✨ Week 2: Snowflake Slime
Stretchy, glittery, and calming—perfect for cold-day sensory play.
🍪 Week 3: Gingerbread Play Dough
Create with soft, spiced dough that smells like holiday comfort.
Led by licensed teacher Tara Willits, this peaceful and playful class helps students slow down, express themselves, and build emotional wellness through mindful making.
