Warm creativity for chilly days—mindfulness through winter-themed art!
Join The Mindfulness Movement at Lakeaires Elementary School for our winter session of Make & Take: Calming Creations, an after-school enrichment class where students in grades 1–5 create cozy, calming crafts designed to support emotional wellness, focus, and self-expression.
Each week, students will make and take home a winter-inspired project that becomes part of their personal calm-down toolkit:
❄️ Week 1: Falling Snow Sensory Bottles
Swirl and shake a snow globe-inspired bottle filled with sparkling calm.
✨ Week 2: Snowflake Slime
Stretchy, sparkly, and oh-so-satisfying—perfect for snowy day play.
🍪 Week 3: Gingerbread Play Dough
Sculpt and create with soft, spiced dough that smells like holiday magic.
Led by licensed teacher Tara Willits, this program blends creativity, mindfulness, and sensory play into a peaceful and supportive space where students can unwind, connect, and thrive.
