Fall crafts with a calming twist—right after school!
Join The Mindfulness Movement at Lincoln Elementary School for Make & Take: Calming Creations, a creative after-school enrichment program designed for students in grades 1–5. Over the course of three cozy, hands-on sessions, kids will create beautiful, sensory-rich art projects that support emotional regulation, creativity, and mindfulness.
Each week features a calming project your child will make and take home, helping them build their own personal toolkit for relaxation and expression:
🍂 Week 1: Falling Leaves Sensory Bottles
Create a swirling bottle of autumn colors and movement for mindfulness and calm.
🍎 Week 2: Apple Cinnamon Slime
Stretch, squeeze, and enjoy the soothing scent of fall with this sensory slime craft.
🎃 Week 3: Painted Flower Pumpkins
Design a mini pumpkin with painted floral patterns to inspire calm and creativity.
Led by licensed teacher Tara Willits, this program provides a peaceful space for students to unwind, connect with their peers, and explore art as a tool for self-care.
