Gabriel Meyer Halevy is coming to Chicagoland for the first time, and Shir Hadash is honored to be the host for these groundbreaking events surrounding his visit.

Enjoy Gabriel's "Prayerformance" -- an interactive concert, weaving songs and stories to bridge hearts and cultures beyond enemy lines. Gabriel's music could be described as World Beat Fusion, sacred, heart songs, and prayers from around the world. Don't miss this rare opportunity to experience Gabriel's music live! He will also be riffing on his new book, On the Verge of the Verb: An Autobiographical Fiction of Prophetic Sorts and will be accompanied by Horacio Martinez, an energetic Argentinian multi-instrumentalist musician (charango, South American flutes, vox, guitar, kalimba and percussion).

A "Sacred Playshop" with Gabriel Meyer Halevy will take place in the Shir Hadash sanctuary. This workshop is a bridge between holiness and playfulness. Come along on an experiential journey of awakening and healing through song, chant, movement, deep listening, and interactive meditations. We will create a safe, playful, and sacred space to inspire courage, flexibility, and presence, drawing from the wellsprings of Kabbalistic, Sufi & other sacred wisdom nectars. We welcome everyone to our space and no previous experience necessary!
