Something new – and a little quacky – is coming to the Whangārei Maritime Festival this October.
Life Education Trust Whangārei is launching its first-ever Duck Race fundraiser, bringing hundreds of bright yellow ducks to the Town Basin for a community race like no other.
📅 When:
Saturday 11 October – Ducks available to buy at the Maritime Festival or online at
https://duckracewhg.co.nz
Sunday 12 October, 2pm – The Great Duck Race
🦆 How it Works:
Festival-goers can adopt a duck for just $5, with all proceeds supporting Life Education Trust Whangārei’s work delivering health and wellbeing education to tamariki across Northland.
For local businesses, there’s also the chance to compete in the Corporate Duck Race, where ducks can be purchased for $200 – giving businesses both bragging rights and the opportunity to support a great cause.
✨ Be in to WIN!
CASH prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of the $5 duck race. Plus bonus prices.
Morning Tea Work Shout for the winner of the corporate duck race.
🦒 Life Education Trust Whangārei brings Harold the Giraffe into schools, helping thousands of Northland children each year learn about health, wellbeing, and making positive choices. Funds raised from the inaugural Duck Race will go directly toward continuing this important mahi.
