Rededication at Shea Memorial Grove Park and Grand Reopening of Shea Naval Aviation Museum!

Save the date! On Saturday June 14th, Flag Day, the ANA Patriot Squadron will host a ceremony at the Shea Memorial Grove at Union Point (old NAS South Weymouth) to rededicate the recently restored A-4B Skyhawk jet and the large blue and gold signs at the park. The ceremony will start at 11 AM and last 30 minutes to an hour. Afterwards, everybody is invited to the grand reopening of the Shea Naval Aviation Museum at its new venue in the former Coast Guard Housing Office Building located behind the soccer fields at the Union Point Sports Complex. The keynote speaker at the park will be retired US Navy Vice Admiral Wally Massenburg. Author Wayne Miller of the Quincy Historical Society will sign copies of his recent book "Birdmen Over Boston Harbor" at the museum. All are welcome and admission is free. Tell your friends!
