Join us for a warm summer day where we will get to know other women woodland owners, learn more about our woodlands and invasive plants, and spend the day walking trails in the beautiful Wagner Family Tree Farm’s woods.
We will start the morning off with casual conversation, warm and cool drinks, and snacks at 9:00 am. Activities start at 9:30 am. Host, Kathy Wagner will share the history of their woodlands and some of the projects they have completed.
Then take a walk with Kathy and Cooperating Forester, Anthony Rynish of Rynish Forestry Inc. We will learn more about how to identify some common invasive plants such as buckthorn, barberry, and garlic mustard and when to look for them.
After a picnic lunch, we will learn about various invasive treatment options and the NRCS, EQIP cost sharing program. Then we will take a wagon ride to another part of the property to see areas that have been treated for invasive plants.

If you haven't mailed your registration form and payment yet, just bring both to the Gathering, but let us know you are coming. If it is already in the mail that is great.
Remember to dress for the weather, we will be outside most of the day with walks in the morning and afternoon. You are encouraged to wear boots or hiking shoes, a hat, and use bug and tick repellent. Please bring a folding chair for lunch and a water bottle. Walking sticks are also suggested.
