L.I.S. Kayak Float, Norwalk Islands to Sheffield

8:30 meetup for circa 9:00 launch from public boat ramp on Elaine Rd. at Saugatuck River. Parking is Free. Sorry, no SUP for this lengthy open-water route, all-the-way from mouth of Sauggie to Sheffield Isle lighthouse (for lunch) with a stop at Grassy Isle. One-person, two-person, sit-in/on kayaks are all good, we'll pace slow enough to keep group together. If you do not have a self-rescue float & pump I've got one in the event. Required: PFD, lantern, whistle, sun block & BUG SPRAY, plus a lot of beverages/snacks and a big lunch. I've got extra room for food/ice packs in my dry bag. There is a rental option at where we launch from though it is very expensive. This is a long route and depending on conditions/pace can be 7-9 hours including stop overs.
