About the event

Breathe It In: A Coastal Walk Through Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary
Join 20s and 30s fellow nature lovers for a slow, mindful walk through one of Massachusetts’ most peaceful coastal sanctuaries: Mass Audubon’s Allens Pond. Nestled where the land meets the sea in South Dartmouth, this 6-mile walk invites us to reconnect—with nature, with one another, and with ourselves.

We’ll follow sandy paths and grassy trails through salt marshes, coastal meadows, and woodlands, with the steady rhythm of waves and birdsong as our soundtrack. Along the way, we might spot ospreys soaring overhead, butterflies flitting across the trail, or shorebirds resting in quiet corners of the pond. The landscape will shift gently—from wide-open ocean views to whispering grasses—and we’ll take our time soaking it all in.

We’ll also walk alongside a small river and a real wetland, where parts of the trail may lead us over water on narrow boardwalks or wooden platforms. At one point, we’ll cross the river on a bridge, just as the scenery changes dramatically—offering unforgettable views and sensations that will stay with us long after the trail ends.

This isn’t a race or a workout. It’s a space to breathe, to notice, and to feel grounded in the changing season.
