Simple, but bold. Often, the easiest step often makes the biggest difference. Just like water baptism.

Water baptism doesn’t save or wash away our sins—only Jesus does—but it’s our bold, public step of obedience that pleases God.

Before Jesus ever preached, healed, raised someone from the dead, or went to the cross, the Father declared, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased,” simply because He ... took a simple step ... baptized ... fulfilling all righteousness.

In the same way, when we go public with our faith—unashamed and unafraid—we declare to the world that we belong to Jesus, and that step of obedience brings joy to God’s heart.
