2025 Memorial Day Parade

Westminster Baseball & Softball has a long tradition of marching in Westminster's annual Memorial Day Parade. We do this to honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Players and coaches arrive at Westminster Café at 11:00 AM in their uniforms. After the school band arrives between 11:15-11:30 the parade travels down Main Street where the kids are welcome to toss candy to spectators. The parade ends at the Gazebo atop Academy Hill where there are recitals of the Gettysburg Address and Flanders Field, a guest speaker, and musical performances. Festivities conclude with a chicken BBQ open to the public at the VFW – best to get tickets in advance from the VFW as they often sell out! Note: There are no bathrooms available to the kids before the parade or at the top of Academy Hill. Plan accordingly!
