This summer, something beautiful is blooming in the Historic Northwest District.
NOTE: Youth and families are welcome to drop in at anytime between 12-5! Stay the whole time or meet up for an hour! This program is meant to facilitate opportunities for connection, growthand empowerment and meet the needs of all schedules.
Join us for “Summer Legacy of Strength: Creative Pathways to Empowerment”, an empowering summer program held in partnership with Rohi’s Liberation Station and the ! From June 2nd to August 8th, Monday through Friday from 12 PM – 5 PM, we’ll be diving deep into healing, expression, and joy—together.
This 10-week experience is rooted in trauma-informed care, social-emotional learning, and mental health support, all wrapped in creativity, culture, and community. Through art, storytelling, music, and collaborative projects, youth will explore identity, strengthen emotional intelligence, and celebrate the rich heritage of Black history and the vibrant spirit of the Historic Northwest District.
🎨 June: Empowerment Through Art & Identity
Youth will reflect on their personal stories, connect to their cultural roots, and collaborate on a community art project.
📖 July: Storytelling for Social-Emotional Growth
Through spoken word, digital storytelling, and journaling, participants will strengthen communication skills, empathy, and resilience—culminating in a powerful showcase.
✨ We are thrilled to collaborate with CFCC, whose team will provide onsite therapeutic programming, mental health resources, and emotional wellness tools throughout the summer.
Whether through paintbrush or podcast, this program is a celebration of voice, identity, and healing—and you're invited to be part of it.

Programming is FREE (paid for by Rohi's Liberation Station) unless otherwise stated on the event site. Donations are appreciated and will go back into Educational Programming and Services.
