Making Room at the Table: Understanding and Welcoming Immigrants Dinner

On the evening of August 24 we will learn about how we can welcome our immigrant neighbors and come along side them as allies. We will share a meal together, sampling food from Mexico, China, India, and Nigeria who make up a large proportion of immigrants in central Indiana. The St. Andrew Immigration Team will be sharing information about the immigrant journey in our community and resources available, including a connection with Greater Lafayette Immigration Allies (GLIA). We will have the nursery open and a special lesson for kids in their own space. And, if this is something you would like to engage with further, there will be opportunities to join the team and support local efforts surrounding immigration.
