NEW CUNNINGHAME OPEN ART EXHIBITION 2025
The Barony Centre, 50 Main St, West Kilbride KA23 9AW
The Exhibition is open to Club Members and artists who
live in or near North Ayrshire.
Exhibition will be open to the public -
Sat 26th July - Sat 16th August
Viewing times: Mondays to Saturdays 10.00am - 4.00pm
PAINTINGS - A maximum of two paintings may be submitted for consideration Both might not be selected due to the amount of display space (fees will be returned in the event of a painting not being exhibited). Maximum size is 40”/100cm in any direction. All paintings must be fitted with eyes or D-rings and cord ready for hanging and there should be a label on the back of each painting with the artist’s name, title of painting, medium and price (or NFS).
PORTFOLIO WORK - A maximum of six unframed, mounted artworks (not canvases) can be submitted for display in browsers. These must be wrapped in plastic/cellophane film with details on a self-adhesive label on the back. These must be original works or prints of the artist’s own work.
CRAFTWORK - Crafts must be able to fit into a display case or on a display stand and must have a label attached with artist’s name and price clearly marked. Maximum of ten to be submitted
CARDS - These must be originals or prints of the artist’s own work. Maximum of twenty to be submitted.
Tuesday 22nd July 11.00am to 3.00pm - Handing in Day
Friday 25th July 6.00pm - Preview. Artists & friends are invited.
Saturday 26th July 10.00am - 4.00pm Exhibition will open to the public at 10am.
Saturday 16 August 4.00pm Exhibition will close.
Collection of unsold paintings and artworks
The Barony will be open at the following times for you to collect your work.
Monday 18th August 1.00pm - 3.30pm
Tuesday 19th August 10.30am 3.00pm
Commission of 20% will be charged for any artwork sold. Payments to the artists will be sent out as soon as possible after the exhibition closes. Photography will not be accepted. No copies of professional drawings or paintings will be accepted. The committee reserves the right of refusal. All reasonable care will be taken with the works, but they are submitted at the owner’s risk. Artists may wish to make their own arrangements for insurance.
We Need your Help: As the Exhibition is a big venture and has to be supervised at all times we really need as many artists as possible to help with stewarding. A schedule will be displayed on the ‘Handing-in Day’, where you can fill in your availability or nominate someone to steward in your place. If anyone is available to help on the handing in or collection days, please contact Susan or anyone on the committee.
