“The piano itself is really the ultimate gift, for it has afforded me the opportunity to express what I hear; the music that comes to me and through me. It has been the instrument that allows me to share what I feel is important about melody, and harmony, and dynamics, and freedom with respect to music. The piano is simply the way I reach out to all people to help them enjoy life a little more.” -Lee Bartley
Sue Revels is a 10-year resident of Whitetop, VA; just over the NC border. During her years in Whitetop, Sue has had an active solo singing career in many churches in the two state region. She’s also been active in musical theater in both Galax, VA (playing Nellie in the 2015 production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s, “Some Enchanted Evening“ by the Arts Council of the Twin Counties) and at Ashe County Little Theatre (playing Mama Rose in the 2019 production of the musical, “Gypsy”). Sue has always loved singing for the public and was blessed to meet Lee Bartley at several local restaurants where he was the featured pianist. They joined forces, thereby creating “Wild Mountain Magic” where they collaborate to bring a unique perspective on an evening of music at local locations.
Sue Revels has a 20-year background in vocal performance in choirs, solo work for regional churches, and musical theatre (playing “Nellie” in the 2015 Galax, Virginia Arts Council of the Twin Counties production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Some Enchanted Evening” and as “Mama Rose” in the 2019 Ashe County Little Theatre’s production of “Gypsy”). Sue has a diverse love of multiple genres of music which allows for a unique blend and musical experience for her audiences.
