Living in a time of uncertainty and polarisation can be a challenge. Sometimes it feels like we're stuck in a maze. And we are usually too busy to stop and reflect along the journey.
WHAT IS A LABYRINTH?
Labyrinths and mazes are not the same. Mazes are a kind of puzzle with multiple paths and decision points, and sometimes high walls.
Labyrinths, by contrast, are unicursal: a single path twisting and turning through several concentric circles or circuits to arrive at a central goal, without walls or other obstructions to visibility. There are no "wrong turns" in a labyrinth.
JOURNEY TOGETHER
Over the past 140 years our West End Uniting Church community has been a safe place for people to be still, reflect and join in with various contemplative traditions and activities.
More recently we have hosted contemplative improvised music sessions (Sacred Sonic), and quiet contemplation, as well as labyrinth walks.
Come walk with us, guided by Kris Maslen, our experienced labyrinth facilitator, and surrounded by the angelic sound of the Harp, performed by Lyndal Moore.
Free event. All welcome.
