Get ready for an exhilarating summer with our new Friday Night Live series! This unique series combines the magic of live music with the charm of outdoor movies, creating unforgettable Friday nights for all. From June to August, join us on the third and fourth Fridays of the month for a night of entertainment. Food trucks will start serving dinner at 7 pm.
Our electrifying concerts will take place on the third Friday of each month, featuring larger local bands along with food trucks and alcohol concessions. The concerts will run from 8 to 10 pm.
This week's concert features Dirty Champagne – Unclean with a hint of sweetness, an all-Iowa band fermented and bubbled for every occasion.
This eight-piece chamber orchestra, playing its own blend of brass country rock, was formed in 2017 in Des Moines, Iowa. Fronted by dual lead singers Andria Sullivan and Angela Bohnenkamp, and joined by brass, harmonies, and a powerhouse rhythm section—Ryan Weis and Justin Sullivan—the band found a common desire to return harmonies and dirty guitars to music once called heartland rock. The evolution continued into ’90s rock and horn-driven ska. Drummer Brian Burnham later joined the fold, bringing precision-like rhythm only a metronome can provide, but with the swing and feel necessary for the music he serves. Kristin Sullivan (keyboards, fiddle, vocals, trumpet, clarinet), James Campisano (trombone, vocals), and Adam Byersdorfer (trumpet) completed the now-perfect lineup of a self-described supergroup.
To ensure compliance with insurance requirements and maintain a safe and enjoyable environment at the Friday Night Live Concerts, outside alcohol is not permitted on the Jamie Hurd Amphitheater grounds during these events.
Our food truck this week is Kaaswagen—a unique, family-owned mobile mac & cheese truck with a goal of leaving you with a full belly and a smile on your face!
