If you love to watch shows like "Is it Cake?" and "Nailed It", this camp is for you. Each day we will use different cake decorating materials to create a wide variety of amazing cupcakes! Students will learn about different types of frosting, and will make their own buttercream, piping frosting, and ganache. Each day your young chef will bring home their creations. On the final day of camp, chefs will use their new skills to participate in a "Nailed It" cupcake competition.
Day 1 - Piping
Chefs will learn how to make frosting that is perfect for piping. They will practice their piping skills with various tips and piping bags.
Day 2 - Creative Toppings
Young Chefs will learn how to design creative cupcakes using every day ingredients like cookies, candy, and other treats. They will also learn how to use melting chocolates to mold their own toppings.
Day 3 - Fondant
Young Chefs will work with fondant. They will practice rolling, cutting, and shaping with various colors of the popular cake decorating tool. Students will also be able to create fondant flowers which they can use in the final competition.
Day 4 - "Nailed It" Cupcake Competition
Young Chefs will participate in a "Nailed It" style competition using their new skills. They will have access to piping bags, tips, fondant, candy and sprinkles to design their masterpiece. Medals and ribbons will be awarded.
