Chainsaw and Chipper Training

Lunch and up to 7 CEU's are provided.

Scott Carlson will be providing the instruction and a certificate of completion will be provided to all participants following the class. Participants are REQUIRED to provide their own personal protective equipment (PPE). Hardhats, eye and ear protection, long pants and closed toe shoes are required. Chainsaw chaps are required for chainsaw operation and gloves are recommended.

•Chainsaw training: Will include both classroom instruction and hands-on experience with felling and bucking. We'll also be coordinating a session with local fire departments to practice cutting into a roof-like structure, giving them experience beyond arboriculture.

•Chipper training: Will include classroom instruction, hands-on experience, and job site scenario discussions. Arborist jobsite setup and chipper operations will be topics included. The class will be chipping all the tree material and debris cut during the chainsaw training.

Additionally, We’ll have dealers present to showcase different chipper brands, options and applications including Bandit, Mobark and Vermeer.
