About the event

Quilt Making Day

6th June 2024 was the eightieth anniversary of the D-Day landings. To commemorate this event, we planned to make eighty single bed sized patchwork quilts for donation to veterans.

We actually managed to complete 109 by our deadline, and were so chuffed that we decided to keep going!

Making days allow us to crack on with cutting and sewing. You don't need to be experienced - it's pretty much sewing straight lines accurately, and you can use your own machine or borrow one of ours.

Space is limited, so if you would like to attend, please do let us know.
