FIRST FRIDAYS AT WVC // Join us this Friday, August 1 from 5-7pm at WVC's MAC Gallery for the opening reception of Seen: Figure Studies by Student Artists.
An informal figure drawing session will take place from 5-6pm with a clothed model for anyone who would like to try their hand at figure drawing. WVC Instructor and interdisciplinary visual artist Ellen Bruex will provide supplies and guidance.
The exhibit Seen will be on view through August 29.
Professor Scott Bailey shared, "We are very proud to be able to show off these student products of the very challenging but meaningful artistic practice of drawing from live human models. Ellen Bruex has been able to inspire her students to do tremendous work, and the atmosphere in these classes is also made richer by the serious artists in the community who join the credit-seeking students in this practice through Continuing Education."
We look forward to celebrating our WVC students and their work with our community!
