Join us for a Gallery Opening evening to celebrate the art of Johnathan Bingham

Johnathan (John) Bingham is a role-playing game artist and designer living in Wellington. A US Transplant, John has been living in Aotearoa New Zealand for over 11 years. Since 2003, John has been published in numerous small press “old school” roleplaying games – most notably the Hyperborea TTRPG and the Advanced Adventures line for the OSRIC TTRPG.

Working primarily as a black and white line artist, John greatly admires the first wave of roleplaying game artists for TSR (Dungeons and Dragons), who were in turn inspired by the likes of Albrecht Dürer, Virgil Finlay, and Gustav Dore. John enjoys illustrating and writing for tabletop RPGs (TTRPG) and is currently developing his own game, Beyond the Bleak Forest – a solo TTRPG of ominous positivity.

This show is a showcase of his non-TTRPG work completed over the past two years.
