Surrender to a scented reimagining of classic silent film Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror (1922) Accompanied by ten scratch-and-sniff whiffs on a souvenir card and an original live score, this unique event breathes new life into the silent horror classic.

This special event promises a journey through the horror and beauty of Murnau’s vision. Shifting your smell perspective, you will experience a spectrum of aromas that range from heavenly fresh blossoms to the stagnant and stale stench of the Black Death, while listening to Peter Dasent perform his original solo piano score which is moody, dramatic, whimsical and at times laugh out loud funny.

F.W. Murnau’s Nosferatu is a masterpiece of German Expressionist cinema, an artistic adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. It not only introduced pioneering filmmaking techniques but also encapsulated the societal fears of the early Weimar Republic in response to the rise of women into political power to anxieties surrounding the source of the Spanish Flu epidemic.

Immerse yourself in the aromatic allure of Scented Cinema at The Roxy, presented in collaboration with Snivure and Scented Storytelling.
