We're so excited to announce a new festival to Marlborough, AKITU.

Where: Avon Valley
What: 24 hours of music, light shows, community, dancing, friendship and love.
Come celebrate the end of Harvest 2025 with us at a massive party in a lush valley.
Discrete Sound, Enlightenment Lightning and DcGround NZ are stoked to bring you a brand new festival to Marlborough, AKITU.
Autumn brings harvest, and the word AKITU resonated with this as it holds a meaning of renewal of the natural world. Where better to celebrate than in the lush Avon valley? The festival community has been screaming for a Marlborough event, and we cant wait to create an atmosphere of pure bliss, connections and awareness with you.
24 solid hours of DJs from all genres including but not limited to D&B, psytrance, techno, house, Dubstep, brought to you on the biggest configuration Discrete Sound has had to date, you’re guaranteed to be dancing all night.
Enlightenment lighting will have their incredible lights/lasers/pretties to look at and to guide us around the location.
Local artists will be showcasing their incredible talent, bringing pieces with them that you may just want to purchase and make your own. Bring cash!
A chill zone for when you just need a breather.
“Camp mums” will have a different coloured wristband than you, if you need anything please grab one of us.
We will have a food truck available, again bring cash.
Gates open at 12, opening ceremony at 4pm, closing ceremony at 4pm on the 26th. Gates will be locked from 9pm on the night of the 25th.
Overnight camping included in ticket.
There is a river available for swimming (please don’t use soap).
Please note this location is on a working farm, and respect for the landowner is paramount (he’s the reason we can do this after all!)
There is zero phone reception at this location but if it is an utmost emergency please contact crew
Rules: No dogs, No glass, fires, no driving around the farm, stick to the road rules (this is a shared road with other farms), don’t open farm gates or go outside the fenced areas (our space will be well signed and well lit), leave the animals alone, and most importantly CONSENT. If anyone is found to be being a dick we have no problems getting you back to town real quick.
Remember to drink heaps of water (we will have fresh drinking water on site), make sure you’re sober well before needing to drive, take out exactly what you bring in, look after yourself and your mates, and respect our whenua.
