The Wellington Pride Festival Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Sunday 25 May from 12pm to 3pm. The meeting will take place in Te Aro - you’ll receive details after you register using this form:

The AGM will receive a report from the Board providing an update on the 2025 Wellington Pride Festival, and on plans for the 2026 Festival.
There will be an election for vacant positions on the Board - one of the two co-chair positions, and one to two General Board members (more info below).
The AGM will also consider a proposed new Constitution for the Wellington Pride Festival Incorporated, so that the organisation meets the new requirements of the Incorporated Societies Act 2022.
As part of this new Constitution, it is proposed we create a new class of membership - “Volunteer Members” - who are members of the Society by virtue of their voluntary contributions to the organisation and our Takatāpui, LGBTQIA+ and queer communities.

JOIN THE WELLINGTON PRIDE FESTIVAL BOARD!
As well at the AGM, we’re looking to add a couple of extra members, including a co-chair. Being on the Wellington Pride Festival Board can be a lot of work, especially around Festival time, but it’s also really fun. It’s a beautiful thing to be part of a group of volunteers working for your community.
We have board meetings once a fortnight, generally on Sundays from 3pm-5pm. These happen in person but there’s also an option to join online. There will be other time commitments needed outside of meetings. Things are likely to be busiest in November this year as we finalise planning, and also in February/March before and during the Festival itself.
