On September 14th, the participants of this fundraiser are pledging to ride our motorcycles 500 kilometers in one day. All the funds raised will be used to educate Guatemalan youth.
In Guatemala, despite education being free and compulsory, high school enrollment is only 46% of the eligible youth. The cost of uniforms, books, supplies and transportation makes it challenging, if not impossible, to send their children to high school. Even worse, if the family can only afford to enroll one child, they will choose to send a son over a daughter.
Let’s be the change and make a difference! All the funds raised by the From Roads To Wisdom fundraiser will be put into a education fund and distributed by Power At Work. Power At Work is a Canadian charity based in Waterford, Ontario! Although they are based in Waterford, they have a compound in Guatemala and work directly with the local Guatemalan communities. They know the local families and their needs, whether its nutrition programs, picnic tables, bunk beds, and so much more.
How to Help:
If you’re a motorcycle rider and are capable of completing a 500km ride in one day, sign up and join us! There is no cost to do the ride, but I’d like to make a request, either make a donation to the cause or help do some fundraising.
If you’re not a motorcycle rider, please consider making a donation. Any amount will help! Tax receipts will be available for donations over $20.
Thank you for your consideration and God bless,
Neal “Preach” Cameron
