Circus Sessions ten!
In this iteration of Circus Sessions, our mentor will be Jodi Lomask founder and Artistic Director for Capacitor, based in the Bay Area of California.
Jodi is an exciting multidisciplinary artist that Holly has been following for more than 20 years. Her work is a blend of circus and dance, and she has invented many apparatus. Her work and research is inspired by nature. Jodi is going to bring exercises and experiments in collaboration, choreographic generation, and maybe some Capacitor repertoire! Come get creative, messy, & inspired!
Circus Sessions is a one-week circus residency of exploration, play and collaboration, with a one night public presentation.
Mid- and established-career circus artists, and artists whose work intersects with circus, are encouraged to apply.
FdFC is committed to supporting artists with accessibility needs and will work with artists on an individual basis.
Circus Sessions will run September 7-13 (public presentation on the 13th), 2025, at The Bank Art House in Welland, Ontario.
Call to artists closes June 20, 2025. Notification to all applicants will be sent out by June 27, 2025.
All participants are paid an honorarium of $1000. Artists are responsible for their own travel.
