Walk & Talk Book Club- A Dark & Secret Magic

The Walk & Talk Book Club will meet on August 19th at 6:00 pm at Victor Park to discuss
"A Dark and Secret Magic” by Wallis Kinney. Participants will listen to the book via Playaways or the Libby App. We will gather to walk the trail at Victor Park on the 19th, and discuss the book at Roosevelt Park Gazebo, where we will end up from the trail. The meeting will move to the Community Activity Center if the weather is poor. "A Dark and Secret Magic" is a captivating tale about Hecate "Kate" Goodwin, a hedge witch living a solitary life in a cottage with her black cat. Her peaceful routine is disrupted when her sister Miranda asks her to host their coven's annual Halloween gathering, coinciding with Kate's birthday. Complicating matters, a handsome man from her past, Matthew Cypher, seeks refuge at her home. He is a practitioner of forbidden magic who has previously deceived her. As Kate prepares for the event, she discovers an old tome linked to her late mother, revealing dark secrets. This prompts her to question her memories and trust, especially as her bond with Matthew deepens.
