Oftentimes, one doesn't think of Wisconsin as a fine wine-producing region; however, lying in wait under our very noses is a wide world of viticulture grown and produced in our great Midwest state. Enter winemaker Erin Rasmussen, who started American Wine Project after apprenticing with wineries worldwide to explore the possibility of creating complex and delicious wines from long-forgotten grape varieties. Utilizing low-intervention winemaking along with traditional techniques, Erin has been a leader in showcasing a new perspective in American wine. Join Ray's and Erin for an exploration of these magical cool-climate friendly wines grown and produced from the heart of the Driftless region here in Wisconsin.
